. the east bay hills look nice but clouds are moving in. let's get latest from leigh glaser. >> leigh: the forecast models spot on. we had a break this morning and now more showers. late get right to live doppler 7hd. you seek the numerous lightning strikes in the central valley, modesto, stockton, also, davis, fairfield area, and also near dixon. hundreds of lightning strikes in this particular area in the last 2025 minutes. reports of pea-size hail. heavy downpours, and a possibility, one spotter thought of a funnel cloud. not a tornado but a funnel cloud. and you can see with all the heavy activity there also, towards cloverdale, making up moderate rain, and hillsburg, wrapping off the coast, and you can see more activity developing just off the coast as well near san francisco. rainfall, boy, did we need it. over a half inch in santa rosa, quarter inch in san francisco. as well as near quarter inch for concord. more moisture due in here tonight. we'll show you the timing later on in the show. >> ama: hundreds of people began this easter sunday at san francisco's highest peak for a

to the hospital. bob redell joins us near leigh high school. two teenagers facing felony charges. >> reporter: good morning. two 17-year-old drivers responsible for this crash into this home here have been arrested for felony, reckless driving. the woman who lives here is still in critical condition. neighbors are infuriated and tell us they're familiar with one of those teen drivers. one man's confronted him before about his driving. a woman was about to report him for speeding down leigh highway. you might recall a few years ago, two young women killed a young girl, leaving a mother wondering when in the world are these kids ever going to learn? >> they need to not use the car as a toy. it is not a video game. you cannot hit reset and fix what you just crashed into. >> reporter: charlene lennon only wishes she could hit reset and bring back her daughter who was 21 years ago when she was filled by two men racing down san jose's branham lane. >> i missed watching her grow up. her friends getting married and people are having kids. and her life was just stopped at the age of 20. >> reporter: s
. it shows the seen from above the 5400 block of leigh ave. the accident yesterday afternoon involved to bmw's just a block away from the lee high school. kron 4 spoke with witnesses who say both drivers are students at that high school and were racing each other at the time of the crash. >> the silver bmw that the house loss control and hit the front of the red vehicle that hit the side of the intersection. >> of the five people injured. tour inside the house three were in the bmw. a woman in her '40's is in critical condition. kernite year-old daughter sustained not life-threatening injuries. police say both driver traveling at a high rate of speed. the driver of the red bmw was not seriously hurt and was taken to the police department for questioning. >> there has been a spike in home burglaries this month and hercules. police say the east bay town has experienced 11 in just this month. many of the burglaries have been committed by the same group of suspects. >> five in one day. 11 throughout the month of april. most of those sent out of the 11 of the burglaries in april were they time be

into a home in south san jose. the crash happened yesterday at the corner of leigh avenue and anne drive a 40-year-old female resident of the home. remains in critical condition tonight. her 9-year-old daughter has non- life threatening injuries, along with a passenger in one of the cars, and both drivers. classmates and neighbors of leigh high school say. the two drivers were racing. swat teams with the f-b-i and oakland police. served several search warrants across the east bay. and made several arrests as part of a gang crackdown. here's what we know tonight. the joint operation began last night and ended early this morning. 13 warrants were served in oakland, and one each in antioch, hayward and san leandro. many of those served in oakland. were at the acorn housing complex. four adults and one juvenile were taken into custody. although drugs were seized during the operation. investigators say, removing members of a violent gang from the streets of oakland. was their primary objective ".we arrest" 150- f-b-i agents teamed up with 120- o-p-d officers during last night's gang raid. it has b
